Glocient Hospitality Hosts UN Tourism Delegation at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort

Glocient Hospitality recently extended an exceptional and warm reception to a high-level delegation from the United Nations (UN) Tourism body at the renowned Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort. The delegation, which included Mr. Marcel Leijzer, Precious Ovahabonosa, and Okemini Dike, arrived at the Resort as part of their visit to Ekiti State to assess and promote the state’s tourism potential.

The reception was orchestrated by Mr. Lanre Balogun, General Manager of Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, who mobilized his team to ensure a memorable welcome on behalf of Mr. Niyi John Olajide, a key partner in the development of the resort. The delegation was also accompanied by a team from the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism, led by Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre Esq., Director-General of Tourism Development, alongside Barrister Adegboyega Morakinyo, Executive Secretary, Peculiar Ekiran, Special Assistant on Tourism, Dolapo Ogunleye Adewumi, Tourism Officer, as well as Mariam Ajibola and Bernard Udensi.

In addition, Dr. Alex Nwuba, President of Overseas Credit and Private Equity Limited and Consultant to the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism on the Ekiti State Tourism Policy, joined the delegation to further discuss strategic plans for enhancing the tourism appeal of the state.

During the reception, Mr. Marcel Leijzer commended Glocient Hospitality for maintaining the resort’s lush green environment and praised the team’s efforts in making the resort a classic destination for tourists worldwide. He noted that Ikogosi Warm Springs continues to attract global attention due to its unique natural features and the quality of hospitality provided.

In his remarks, Mr. Lanre Balogun highlighted that while Glocient Hospitality has made significant strides in upgrading the resort, with much more exciting developments to come. 

The visit by the UN delegation signals strong international interest in Ekiti State’s tourism landscape, with Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort standing out as a flagship attraction. The collaboration between Glocient Hospitality and the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism is expected to further bolster tourism growth and drive sustainable development in the state.
